Michelin’s distribution center looking great / Highway 101 South Booming. GSA Market News

Michelin North America’s distribution center on Hwy. 101 near Reidville is looking great.  Our recent drone photo shows the magnitude of this project.  It is a very impressive facility.  Phase 2 of the $270 Million development is under way and the total size of the complex will be a staggering 3.3 million SF of space when complete.  It is one of the largest distribution facilities in the country.  Full completion of the project is expected by early 2019.  This location is expected to create 350 jobs.  Panattoni Development is constructing the facility for Michelin through its subsidiary Alston Construction.

Other developments in the booming Highway 101 area include:

  • The new Smith Farms 475 Acre industrial park with a potential total of 11 buildings and 6 million SF of space when completely built out.  The project’s first phase will include a 400,000-square-foot cross dock facility aimed at warehousing / distribution companies and also a smaller 210,000-square-foot rear load facility.
  • Valeant Pharmaceuticals’ 432,000-square-foot distribution center
  • Panattoni has developed the Apple Valley Industrial park consisting of a 177,320 SF build to suit for Global Automotive Partners (completed) and a 196,000 SF speculative project which is currently available.
